I make granola every now and then since it is very popular in my family and I have tried quite a bunch of receipes. I adapted this one from a receipe that is meant for granola bars at Cafe Fernando. I liked the idea of using grape molasses very much.
1,5 glass/cup of rolled oats
2,5 glass/cup wheat
1 glass/cup chopped almond
½ glass/cup chopped hazelnuts
3 table spoon hazelnut or granola oil
½ glass/cup honey
5 table spoon grape molasses
¼ vanilla extract
A pinch of cinamon
Mix all ingredients and make sure that they are all infused with the honey and the grape molasses. Heat the oven to 150/180° and bake for 30 to 40 minutes; I like them very brown so I cook them a little longer. Mix every ten minutes while baking. Let it cool down and save in jars.
Hmmm the granola is chewy from the honey and the grape syrup and at the same time crunchy from the nuts with a hint of cinamon and vanilla aroma. I love it with fresh fuits and ice cold milk.
